Shielding Effectiveness

Measurement Description

The Shielding Effectiveness (SE) is measured in accordance with

  • EN 50147-1 and
  • IEEE 299 (in a reduced extend)

Typical measurement frequencies are: 10 kHz, 100 kHz, 1 MHz, 10 MHz, 30 MHz, 100 MHz, 400 MHz, 1 GHz, 10 GHz, 18 GHz, 26.5 GHz and 40 GHz. Any selection of these frequencies is possible, any other frequencies possible upon request.

The exact location of the test points will be defined together with the customer on site as it is necessary to have full access to all test points.

A leakage test at 433 MHz will be performed when requested at time of order.

Please nominate an assistant to our engineer for setting up the equipment and to handle ladders, tripods and the like.

Test equipment (calibrated spectrum analyser, signal generator, suitable transmit and receive antennas, pre-amplifiers, antenna masts (tripods) and RF-cables) are provided.
