RefRad Reference Generators

Seibersdorf Laboratories RefRads are generators designed for conducted and radiated EMC and EMF measurements. They are essential tools for engineers, enabling accurate and reliable verification of measurement systems and ensuring high quality testing. The RefRads help to avoid costly re-testing by identifying faulty instruments before testing begins. They also support ISO 17025 compliance by fulfilling the requirement for regular test equipment verification. This gives engineers and customers confidence in measurement results.

Our generators have been a trusted used tool around the world for several decades. After extensive research and development, we have developed an innovative new product: the RefRad 18 reference radiator.

A comb generator is built inside a conical antenna element. Therefore, no cable between antenna and generator is required. Thus, leads to repeatable measurement results and reliable simulation of radiation performance.

The RefRad 18 reference radiator is based on an innovative concept with an integrated directional antenna. Its novel design provides higher output power, two selectable field strength settings/output levels, and a flat frequency response. Its excellent frequency stability and versatility make the RefRad 18 a flexible and reliable tool for accurate measurements.
