Reverberation Chambers

Mode tuned and mode stirred chambers have advantages against anechoic rooms especially above 1 GHz. Due to directive radiation pattern of EUTs measurement of the radiated power is more accurate than measurement of the electric field strength.

Reference Site Method

Since the introduction of the NSA method for the validation of anechoic room ongoing research had been performed. The next step will be the inclusion of the Reference Site Method to the next edition of CISPR 16-1-4. There numerical simulations as well as statistical approaches take place. Further research will be on the impact of balun impedance and the effect of ferrite cables.
