SEIBERSDORF LABORATORIES

Calibration of Field Probes

We calibrate following types of field probes:

  • Electric field probes
  • Magnetic field probes
  • Flux density meters
  • Radiation monitors
  • Near field probes

Calibration procedure

  • IEEE Std 1309-2005

Our Facilities

  • TEM-cells 5 Hz - 500 MHz, up to 300 V/m
  • Anechoic chamber 100 MHz - 40 GHz, up to 200 V/m
  • Parallel-plate capacitor 0 - 10 kHz, up to 1 kV/m
  • Magnetic field generators (coils) 0 - 10 MHz, up to 400 A/m

Features

  • Determination of the calibration factor as function of frequency, probe orientation, field strength and modulation
  • Isotropy measurements as function of frequency
  • Evaluation of amplitude linearity as function of frequency

The uncertainty (95%, k=2) of the established field is:

  • ±5%, DC - 10 kHz
  • ±15%, 10kHz - 150 MHz
  • ±20%, 150 MHz - 18 GHz
  • ±25%, 18 GHz - 40 GHz

How to proceed for calibration?

Send us or our representative the specification of your field probe by filling in the calibration request form and you will get a quotation. For information about the time schedule you have to send us an e-mail or call our field probe specialist Mr. Patrick Preiner.

Calibration contracts

For regular routine calibration of antennas, field probes and other RF test equipment we offer calibration contracts with many advantages.
